Meet the Owner

My name is Donald Wathen, and I’ve been a taxidermist for the past 28 years. I was born and raised in St. Mary’s County, MD, where I still live with my wife and three daughters. Hunting is one of my biggest passions and I take immense pride in my work, using live references to capture the fine details on every mount.

I’ve studied whitetail deer under Gene Smith (three-time world champion), waterfowl/turkeys under Shane Smith (world champion), and wild turkeys under Harold McGuire (world champion). I value getting to know my customers by meeting one-on-one and learning about their hunts to personalize their mounts.
